All gates are designed in compliance with the latest version of AWWA C561, with modifications to meet specific project requirements. To provide clarity, it’s important to define the gates we offer. A stainless steel sluice gate is a robust, heavy-duty gate equipped with a four-sided seal system, ideal for closing off an orifice that may experience water levels exceeding the top of the opening. A stainless steel slide gate, on the other hand, features a three-sided seal system with seals along the sides and across the invert of the opening. Additionally, we offer stainless steel weir gates, which are downward-opening slide gates designed for specific flow management scenarios.

SUBMITTALS

       As part of the ordering process, we provide detailed submittals that include custom drawings of the gate assembly, complete with dimensional and mounting information, as well as a comprehensive list of construction materials. Unlike general arrangement drawings, these detailed drawings ensure precision. Additionally, we supply calculations confirming compliance with AWWA C561 safety factors, test results from a minimum 30,000 cycle durability test, and a copy of our ISO 9001:2015 certification to assure quality and performance.
