A Summer Tradition of Appreciation at Whipps, Inc.
At Whipps, Inc., we believe that our greatest strength has always been our people. Every custom water control solution we engineer, every stainless steel gate we fabricate, and every project we complete is made possible by the dedication, craftsmanship, and teamwork of our employees. That’s why each summer we take time to step away from the shop floor, gather as one team, and simply enjoy each other’s company.
Enjoying BBQ and Drinks
This year’s annual company BBQ was another wonderful reminder of how fortunate we are to work alongside such talented people. Employees and their families enjoyed a delicious meal prepared by Firefly’s BBQ, featuring ribs, chicken, steak tips, pulled pork, macaroni and cheese, baked beans, collard greens, and cornbread. Later in the afternoon, the Ben & Jerry’s ice cream truck arrived with plenty of frozen treats to help everyone cool off and enjoy the beautiful summer weather.
Family Fun
The day was filled with laughter, friendly competition, and plenty of activities for everyone to enjoy. Children and adults alike raced through inflatable obstacle courses, tested their skills with basketball and baseball games, and spent time together around the cornhole boards. With comfortable temperatures, passing clouds, and a large tent providing plenty of shade, it was the perfect setting for employees from every department to relax and spend time with one another outside of the workplace.

While the food and activities certainly made the day memorable, what mattered most was the opportunity to celebrate the people who make Whipps, Inc. what it is. Our employees bring dedication, skill, and pride to their work every day. Whether designing custom water control equipment, machining precision components, fabricating stainless steel structures, assembling products, or supporting our customers, each person plays an important role in our continued success.

Events like our annual BBQ are a small way of expressing our sincere appreciation for everything our team accomplishes throughout the year. We are grateful not only for the hard work our employees contribute but also for the positive culture they help create. It is a privilege to work alongside people who care about their craft, support one another, and take pride in building products that protect communities and manage one of our most valuable resources: water.
